Our extra-curricular highlights
Eco Warriors
At Barnier Public School, our Eco Warriors are passionate about caring for the environment and making a positive impact in our community. We grow our own vegetables, create habitats for local wildlife such as native birds, lizards, and frogs, and maintain beautiful native gardens. Through our Return and Earn program and various sustainability projects, we learn, take action, and share our knowledge with others to protect biodiversity and help build a greener future.
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.

Sport and PSSA (Yr 3-6)
At PSSA, our Sport program offers students exciting opportunities to develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship across a range of popular sports including netball, soccer, rugby league, Oz Tag, cricket, and European Handball. Every Friday, students come together to train and compete against other schools in these sports, representing their schools with pride and enthusiasm. Through regular Friday sessions and inter-school competitions, students build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the spirit of friendly competition. The program promotes inclusivity and a love of physical activity, encouraging students of all abilities to participate and challenge themselves. Our Friday PSSA sport sessions are a vital part of fostering healthy, engaged, and connected school communities.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
