2026 Kindergarten Transition
We are delighted to warmly welcome all our new 2026 Kindergarten families as they begin their transition journey with us. This is an exciting time as we prepare to greet our youngest learners into our vibrant school community. Our dedicated team is committed to providing a smooth and positive transition experience, and we look forward to partnering closely with families to support the growth and development of our new students. State Athletics Representatives
Emelia, Sienna, Blake, and Margaux competed at the State Athletics Carnival. Blake is also competing in two individual events, which is a huge achievement. Go girls! You have made us so proud.
3 PSSA Grand Final Champions!
Congratulations to our three grand final champions Senior A Netball, Senior B Netball, and Junior Soccer teams. Each team demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination, culminating in well-deserved victories in their respective grand finals. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication, which have brought great pride to our school community. Well done to all the players, coaches, and supporters who contributed to this fantastic success!
Great Aussie Bush Camp
Stage 3 students had an unforgettable experience at the Great Aussie Bush Camp, where they participated in a range of exciting outdoor activities designed to build teamwork, resilience, and confidence. From adventurous obstacle courses to nature walks and campfire storytelling, the camp provided a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with the natural environment while developing important life skills. The Stage 3 camp was not only a fun and engaging experience but also a valuable chance for students to challenge themselves and create lasting memories with their peers.
Back to Barnier
Former student and professional NRLW player Kennedy Cherington recently returned to visit us, inspiring the school community with her incredible journey. During her visit, Kennedy shared her story of resilience and determination, highlighting the challenges she overcame to achieve success in professional rugby league. She has proudly represented New South Wales, showcasing her exceptional talent and commitment at the highest levels of the sport. Her many achievements in the NRLW reflect her dedication and hard work. Kennedy’s visit was a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance in pursuing one’s dreams, leaving a lasting impression on students and staff alike.
Author Visit: Andrew McDonald
Renowned children’s author Andrew McDonald recently visited Barnier Public School as part of our Book Week celebrations. During his visit, Andrew engaged students with captivating stories and shared insights into his creative writing process, inspiring a love of reading and storytelling. His enthusiasm and passion for literature sparked the imaginations of students across all grades, encouraging them to explore their own creativity through books. Andrew McDonald’s visit was a memorable highlight of our Book Week, fostering a vibrant reading culture within our school community.
Breakfast Club
Barnier Public School operates a Breakfast Club every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, providing students with a healthy and nutritious start to their day. Thanks to the generous food donations from Food Bank Australia, all students have access to a welcoming space where they can enjoy a wholesome breakfast, helping them to be ready to learn and thrive throughout the school day.
Easter Hat Parade
Our Easter Hat Parade is a joyful tradition that celebrates creativity and community spirit. Students design and decorate their own festive hats, showcasing their imagination and artistic skills. This colourful event brings everyone together to enjoy the fun, share smiles, and embrace the festive season in a lively and memorable way. There might even be a special vistor on the day!
Book Week
Our annual Book Parade is a vibrant celebration of reading and creativity that brings the whole school community together. Students dress up as their favourite book characters, sparking excitement and a love for literature across all year levels. This fun and colourful event encourages imagination, storytelling, and a lifelong passion for books, making reading an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.
Education Week
During Education Week, we warmly invite families and community members to explore our open classrooms, where you can experience engaging lessons and innovative learning in action. The celebrations will also feature a vibrant performance showcase, highlighting the diverse talents of our students through music, drama, and dance. Join us in celebrating the creativity and achievements of our school community!
Reading Club With QHHS
At Barnier Public School, we’re proud of the way Quakers Hill High School Peer Mentors are leading with empathy and innovation and building a legacy where reading grows both readers and leaders. 🌱👩🎓👨🎓
P&C Mother's and Father's Day Breakfast
Each year, the P&C proudly hosts special breakfast events to celebrate Fathers' Day and Mothers' Day. These gatherings provide a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a delicious meal, and honour the important role of parents in our school community. The breakfasts are warmly anticipated and help strengthen the connection between families and the school.
Wakakirri
Our wonderful Wakakirri performance was a spectacular showcase of talent and creativity, held at the prestigious Riverside Theatre in Parramatta. Our students captivated the audience with their powerful storytelling and vibrant choreography, demonstrating exceptional dedication and teamwork. We are incredibly proud to announce that their outstanding performance earned them a State award, a testament to their hard work and passion. This achievement highlights the incredible spirit and artistic excellence of our school community.
K-2 Athletics Carnival
Our K-2 Athletics Carnival was a fun-filled and exciting event that brought together our youngest students for a day of friendly competition and teamwork. The carnival featured a variety of activities designed to encourage participation, build confidence, and promote a love of physical activity. The enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all the children made the day truly memorable. We are proud of every student’s effort and the positive spirit that made our K-2 Athletics Carnival such a wonderful celebration of health and fitness.
100 Days of Kindergarten
Our 100 Days of Kindy celebration marks a special milestone in our students' early learning journey. This joyful event recognises the incredible growth, curiosity, and achievements of our kindy children during their first 100 days of school. Through engaging activities, games, and creative projects, students, teachers, and families come together to celebrate the progress made and the friendships formed. The celebration fosters a positive and inclusive school community, encouraging our youngest learners to embrace their love of learning as they continue to explore and grow.
